I/We confirm that the information provided in my/our finance application is accurate and truthful. I/We declare that I am/we are over the age of 18 and not currently an undischarged bankrupt.

(i) I/We grant permission to you, The Finance Company LTD, to verify any information I/we provide (or information you collect from other sources) with third parties and databases, including government agencies such as the NZ Transport Authority, Department of Internal Affairs, Motor Vehicle Register (name and address), and PPSR. This permission is granted for purposes related to processing my/our credit application, managing my/our account, fraud prevention, and complying with the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009.

(ii) There are two methods available to limit access to your personal information on the Motor Vehicle Register in specific situations:
Opting-out
Obtaining Confidential status.
Opting out offers a limited restriction on access to your information, but it does not guarantee that Waka Kotahi will never disclose your information to third parties. I/We appoint The Finance Company LTD as my/our agent to collect, use, and share my/our personal information for conducting credit checks with a credit reporting agency. This is to make credit facility recommendations. As part of this, The Finance Company LTD may share my/our information with the credit reporting agency, which in turn may provide information about me/us back to The Finance Company LTD.

I/We authorize any third parties to share my/our personal information with The Finance Company LTD for these purposes. I understand that if The Finance Company LTD discloses my personal information to a credit reporting agency, the agency may store my information in their database for providing credit reporting services and other lawful purposes. They may also share my information with their subscribers for credit checking, debt collection, or other lawful activities.

I/We agree that The Finance Company LTD may collect personal, financial, and commercial information from credit reporting agencies, credit providers, employers, accountants, or other named individuals or relatives. This information will be used to evaluate my/our application. I/We also consent to The Finance Company LTD presenting this authorization to those parties to collect such information.

I/We agree to cover the cost of an independent valuation of the security supporting this application, which The Finance Company LTD will arrange. My/our solicitor or agent is authorized to accept notifications on my/our behalf.

I/We acknowledge that if The Finance Company LTD provides this finance:
They will retain personal information during the finance period and for six months after all credit has been repaid. They may collect and monitor personal information necessary for managing and protecting the credit provided.

They may share personal information with third parties engaged by The Finance Company LTD to assist in enforcing any agreements. I/We request that The Finance Company LTD or any related finance company send me/us information about other products and services from time to time. I/We shall have the right to access and request correction of my/our personal information.

Provision of Additional Services
I/We authorize The Finance Company LTD to disclose personal information to a credit agency for the purpose of compiling a credit report and creating a credit profile. Furthermore, I/we consent to The Finance Company LTD using my/our personal information for market research, promotional offers, and additional services, including newsletters or additional credit facilities.

The information that may be disclosed includes: name, address, telephone number, loan amount, details of debits, payment frequencies, amounts paid, and overdue payments. I/We understand the right to access and request correction of my/our personal information held by the credit reporting agency.
